Single-use Plastics

The single-use plastics ban comes into effect 1 June 2022*.

The introduction of market restrictions on some single-use plastics is another exciting step forward in tackling our throwaway culture and the shift towards a circular economy in Scotland. With the regulations published (as of 11 November 2021),  some single use plastic items will be banned from 1 June 2022*.  

At this key milestone in our journey to a circular economy, we need your help to share this message so that we can inform as many businesses and organisations as possible that the final regulations are now available.
