Trial Period

The environmental impact of single-use period products is staggering. Over 400 million single-use period products are disposed of every year in Scotland, containing plastics and synthetic
materials. The good news is that one in ten Scots are already opting for reusable alternatives such as menstrual cups, reusable cloth pads and period-proof pants, and in our survey, 76% said they’d consider giving at least one of these a try.

Trial Period is consumer engagement campaign to encourage giving reusable period
products a try for a comfortable, leak-free and more sustainable period.

These materials have been designed to provide organisations with the messaging and supporting visuals to promote the idea of switching to reusable menstrual products by clearly communicating the benefits of doing so.

The campaign is live in 2019 between 11 November and 6 December, but feel free to share these assets all year round.
