Community Newsletter Issue #7

Information

Your next installment of easy, waste-saving tips has arrived and, seeing as this week is Recycle Week, we’ve put together a special edition for you. This year we’d like to thank Scots for continuing to recycle despite the many disruptions to their day-to-day lives. Scotland is also recycling a record amount of food waste, one of the most significant emitters of carbon, which is great news!

Talking of food, what’s on the menu for lunch? As we get back to our normal routine, eating on-the-go and office lunches are making a comeback with increased likelihood of food waste. Follow our guide below for tasty, nutritious lunches – with no waste and no hassle either.

We’ve also got an interview with Jolly Oluka, who runs SCORE’s community fridge in Edinburgh. Community fridges provide an essential lifeline to those in need and offer a way for everyone to reduce their impact on the planet.

Hungry? We’re serving up recipes for Thai red sweet potato and green bean curry and Thai sweet potato soup.
