Community Newsletter Issue #6

Information

Making the Most and Wasting the Least is back after a short break with a new and improved format. You’ll still receive regular email updates bursting with easy, waste-saving tips. But now you can click on each story below for the individual articles. Easy peasy! We want to help you and your community get started on their zero waste journey, so we’ll provide you with a selection of tailored articles once a month.

So, what’s in store this time round?

We’ve got the lowdown on a social supermarket that has opened up shop in Angus. Social supermarkets are a bit like charity shops for discounted, surplus food. Anyone can use them and they avoid the stigma attached with food banks while reducing food waste. Sounds cool, right? Read our interview with the founders below.

Also, want great taste with no waste? Our campaign with Lidl promises to feed a family of four for a week all for £40 with zero food waste. Check out the article below for the meal plans and shopping lists.

Plus, for peanut butter banana loaf and vegetable pakora recipes, waste-saving holiday tips and more, read on.
